Platform –redesigning our transportation systems
07 October 2010
QLD
The Creative Industries Innovation Centre is proudly supporting Platform, a think tank that will harness design thinking to propose ways to radically improve the accessibility, usability and safety of public transportation.
Platform is part of Queensland’s Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific, which aims to connect design thinkers with community, government, education and industry leaders to find creative solutions for the big picture challenges in our region.
This full-day workshop is for designers, entrepreneurs and decision makers from the ecosystem of urban transportation, mobility and digital connectivity.
Led by Dr. Michael Trudgeon of Crowd Productions, and a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, this workshop will focus on how we can redesign transportation systems to create digitally connected user-friendly systems.
Platform examines how information functions within the public transport network could blur the lines between public and private space, rewriting the role of transportation infrastructure in the civic realm.
Attendance at this workshop provides access to the Unlimited Business Seminar and lunch and refreshments
The Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC) helps creative companies improve their operations, productivity, competitiveness and innovation by providing business advice and support. It is an Australian Government initiative and is hosted by the University of Technology, Sydney.
