Piera Gelardi and Philippe von Borries are the creators of New York’s most forward-thinking online fashion publication REFINERY29.
Launched in 2005, the daily fashion blog attracts close to a million visitors per month and is transforming the way in which fashion is delivered, reported on and consumed online.
Portable, a daily online channel covering the latest in film and video from around the world, has organised for the two speakers to make appearances in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Alongside other guests, they will share their thoughts on fashion-based social media, trends in online retail and new directions in fashion reporting and business followed by hospitality provided by our partners.
Creative innovation, an initiative of the Creative Industries Innovation Centre, is the major event sponsor. The CIIC aims to help Australia’s creative companies to increase efficiency, productivity and innovation.

Portable presents the latest in online video based on our tastes and influenced by trends in film, music, art and fashion. Our online activities are complemented by a range of events including parties, speaking events and festivals. In our spare time, we create digital projects for our clients and ourselves. Portable was founded in 2006 and operates offices out of Melbourne and New York.
