The Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC) will present Smart Design Smart Business as part of Sydney Design Festival 2010 produced by the Powerhouse Museum, from 6.00 - 7.30pm on Tuesday 10th August at the Powerhouse Museum’s Target Theatre in Sydney.
Join us as we share the success stories of experiential design firm, E-2 and home-wares and jewellery designers, Dinosaur Designs. These two different businesses will explore how they created, leveraged and monetised their intellectual property.
E-2’s Managing Director Robbie Robertson and one of Dinosaur Design’s designers and co-founders Liane Rossler will be joined in an interactive panel discussion by industry experts Heidi Dokulil, Co-Director, Australian Design Unit and Parcel, and Tony Shannon, CIIC Business Adviser. The panel will be moderated by design-theorist Kees Dorst, Professor of Design, University of Technology, Sydney.
Our panellists will draw on their experiences and expertise to highlight how design businesses can thrive in a developing digital landscape.

Sydney Design Festival 2010 will take place from 31st July – 15th August, and will be launched on Friday 30th July 2010. The festival centres on the theme of “tell us a story”.
