With less than 2 weeks to go until the submission deadline (5pm 6 September) for the MAKE IT animation competition, it’s time to get creative! Excitement is building as the entries come in and we can’t wait to share our finalist work with you.

About the competition
The Creative Industries Innovation Centre and STAEDTLER animation competition "MAKE IT - A tale of creative inspiration" requires you to use white STAEDTLER® FIMO® modelling clay to create a 15-30 second piece exploring the inspiration that drives you to produce creative work.
The competition is part of the UTS: Sydney International Animation Festival (SIAF), which will run from 24-26 September 2010, and feature the latest highlights from the world of animation.
The competition is proudly sponsored by STAEDTLER® FIMO®. This modelling clay is the natural choice for the cinematic art of animation – it can be moulded and shaped into just about anything, giving life to your creative concept! You can integrate it, blend it, contrast it with other materials - let it act as the springboard to your imagination.
The challenge
Use white STAEDTLER® FIMO®modelling clay to create a 15-30 second piece exploring the inspiration that drives you to produce creative work. This is about your process, practice and passion. Tell us a story that reveals the source of YOUR creative inspiration!
The five finalists will be announced at the UTS: SIAF VIP Opening Night event (24 September) where their work will be shown to industry leaders at an exclusive Advanced Screening of the Best of the Fest.
The prizes
The UTS:SIAF audience will judge the entries and the winner will receive a choice of either $1000 cash, courtesy of STAEDTLER® FIMO®, or the equivalent amount of STAEDTLER® FIMO® product. The winning film will also be featured on Creativeinnovation.net.au and at a VIP event at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
Entry requirements
• Participants must live in Australia to enter
• STAEDTLER® FIMO® colour choice must be white
• Finished piece must be between 15-30seconds in length – including all titles and credits
• Closing date: The CIIC must receive DVD entries by close of business 6th of September 2010
