The Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC) is encouraging all Australian companies involved in the production, distribution and exhibition of screen content take part in a review being conducted by Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts (DEWHA).
As part of the 2010 review of the Australian independent screen production sector, the Australian Government is calling for all screen production professionals to submit comments on the viability and performance of the Australian Screen Production Incentive (ASPI) by 29 April 2010.
The ASPI has three elements: the Producer Offset; the Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PDV) Offset; and the Location Offset. It seeks to support the sector by encouraging greater private sector investment and improving the market responsiveness of the industry.
This is an opportunity to submit your comments on key issues such as:
- The viability of the sector
- The operational arrangements of the Australian Screen Production Incentive
- Other issues
