Micro and small businesses operating in the Creative Industries* can now discuss their challenges in a free 1hour session with a CIIC Business Adviser, in most capital cities and a small selection of regional locations around Australia. The CIIC Biztro is an initiative of the Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC).
*The Creative Industries are defined as “those industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property”.
You should be operating in one of these sectors: Music and performing arts; Film, television and radio; Advertising and marketing; Software development and interactive content; Writing, publishing and print media; Architecture, design and visual arts.
Aspects of your business that you may choose to discuss include strategic planning, finances, human resources, marketing and intellectual property among others. Find out more about our CIIC Business Advisers here.
The Metropolitan Biztro is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide. Five consultations are held in each of these cities, on the last Friday of every month. The Regional Biztro is available in a variety of regional areas around Australia as one-off visits (please note these are not held as regularly as the Metropolitan sessions).

Metropolitan Biztro consultations
- Website registration is available 3 months in advance.
- Registration closes at 12NOON the day prior to the Biztro session date.
- We encourage Biztro clients to return to us in order to evaluate and discuss their progress. For example, you are welcome to attend a session in July and September - but you are not able to book multiple sessions on one day.
Please note : The CIIC Biztro service is delivered in Perth, WA on a bespoke basis. If sessions are currently scheduled they will appear in the State/ Territory drop down box. If not, please email us to register your interest and we will contact you when sessions become available.
